Lean pea soup with spices, recipe
Spices make this soup fragrant and warming. For cooking you will need:
peas - 450 g;
ginger root (fresh) - 20 g;
celery - 1 stalk;
onion - 1 pc.;
garlic - 2 cloves;
water - 2 l;
oil - 2 tbsp. L.;
ground black pepper - to taste;
ground chili pepper - 1/2 teaspoon;
turmeric - 1 teaspoon;
ground coriander - 1 teaspoon;
Bay leaf;
salt - to taste;
lemon juice - to taste.
Soak the peas for an hour. Cut the onion and celery into small cubes, grate the ginger and garlic on a fine grater. Fry all the vegetables in a pan in oil until soft. Add spices and spices and cook for another 2 minutes. Put the peas, pour hot water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for 1-1.5 hours, until the peas are cooked. Add salt and lemon juice to taste.
