Green borscht is a proven recipe

 


Green borscht is one of the tastiest dishes of Ukrainian cuisine. It can be prepared according to the original recipe, or you can diversify it a little - it all depends on your desire.


For cooking you will need:


meat - 500 grams;

potatoes - 400 grams;

carrot - 1 piece;

eggs - 4 pieces;

sorrel - 200 grams;

dill and parsley;

green onion;

Bay leaf;

peppercorns


Pour three liters of water into the pan, put the meat and cook on low heat for about 1.5 hours. Pour peppercorns and spices to taste into the finished broth. Then add diced potatoes and carrots and cook for another 30 minutes.


After that, put chopped boiled eggs, sorrel, onion, parsley and dill into the broth. Cook for another 5 minutes, cover with a lid and leave for 10-15 minutes.


You can serve green borscht with sour cream, mayonnaise or any sauce you like.
